Launching a Token on Elysium: A Checklist for Teams
A practical checklist for launching a token on Elysium, Kinetiq's Hyperliquid L2: bridging HYPE for gas, Elysium's gas quirks, adding Uniswap liquidity on the official contracts, and locking liquidity and team tokens so buyers can verify them.

Launching on Elysium takes five steps: bridge HYPE from HyperEVM for gas, deploy your token, add liquidity on Elysium's official Uniswap contracts, lock that liquidity, and put team allocations on a public vesting schedule. The last two are what buyers check first — they're the difference between a promise and something anyone can verify on-chain.
1. Get HYPE onto Elysium
Elysium's gas token is HYPE, bridged 1:1 from HyperEVM through the official bridge. Bring a little more than you think: gas on Elysium includes an L1 data component, so even a plain transfer costs slightly more than the classic 21,000 gas.
2. Deploy your token
- Elysium runs a standard EVM, so a standard ERC-20 deploys unchanged with your usual tools.
- Avoid fee-on-transfer and rebasing mechanics if you want the token to move through Elysium's official bridge — it doesn't support them.
- Verify the source on Elysium's block explorer so holders can read it.
- Planning a HyperCore spot listing later? Mirror the token to HyperEVM through the mirror bridge, then run HyperCore's spot deployment.
3. Add liquidity on the official Uniswap contracts
Pick V2 for simple full-range liquidity (you get an ERC-20 LP token), or V3/V4 for concentrated liquidity (you get a position NFT). Pair against WHYPE or HYPE, and check every router and factory address against the official list before signing.
4. Lock the liquidity
Unlocked liquidity can be pulled at any moment, and buyers know it. Locking the LP tokens (V2) or the position NFT (V3/V4) in an immutable contract with a public unlock date proves it can't. With a V3/V4 position lock, you keep collecting the trading fees while the liquidity stays locked.
5. Vest team and investor tokens
Put allocations on a linear vesting schedule with an optional cliff, created on-chain and irrevocable — then link it from your docs. It answers “can the team dump?” before anyone asks.
Launch-day checklist
- Token source verified on the explorer.
- Liquidity added on the official Uniswap contracts, and the pool address published.
- Liquidity locked, with the lock's certificate link in your announcement.
- Team and investor tokens on public vesting schedules.
- Contract addresses pinned in your channels, so copycats are easy to spot.
Frequently asked questions
How do I launch a token on Elysium?
Bridge HYPE from HyperEVM for gas, deploy a standard ERC-20, add liquidity on Elysium's official Uniswap contracts, lock that liquidity, and put team allocations on public vesting.
Why does my transaction fail with 21,000 gas on Elysium?
Elysium's gas includes an L1 data component for posting to HyperEVM, so a plain HYPE transfer uses about 21,140 gas. Let your wallet estimate gas instead of hard-coding it.
Should I use Uniswap V2, V3 or V4 on Elysium?
V2 is simplest (full range, ERC-20 LP token). V3 and V4 concentrate liquidity in a price range and earn fees separately; V4 adds hooks and can pair against native HYPE.
Can I lock liquidity on Elysium?
Yes. Titan Locker is live on Elysium (since 5 November 2026) for V2 LP tokens and V3/V4 positions, plus token locks and vesting, at 1 HYPE or 5% per lock.
